Data handling
How guarantor financial data is collected
Guarantors connect their bank, brokerage, and retirement accounts via Plaid to populate SBA Form 413 asset schedules. All connections are user-initiated, read-only, and session-scoped. Institution-verified balances are labeled VERIFIED in the portal.
✓Read-only access. No transactions, no payments, no writes to any financial account.
✓Explicit user consent. Each guarantor initiates their own Plaid connection — no automatic linking.
✓Encrypted at rest. Data stored in Cloudflare D1 with encryption at rest.
✓Zero Trust access control. All portal access requires email OTP authentication. Role-based — lenders have read-only access.
✓User-controlled deletion. Guarantors can disconnect and delete their Plaid data at any time.
